After finishing university with not quite the right qualification for what I had planned and no idea what to do next, I found myself considering the GP gap year. I had been a Christian less than a year at that point, so although I felt strongly called, it was a scary prospect.
I made the decision to do the gap year a week before it started and luckily for me they let me do it!
The gap year was the most amazing, challenging and crazy brilliant year of my life. I learnt so much about God and my relationship with Him and had the chance to serve in so many different ways.
I discovered gifts that I hadn’t been aware of, including administration which has led to my current job as the training team administrator!
I seriously don’t know where I’d be today if not for Going Public – I am really happy to be where I am right now!
